The 2016 Equinox Sports New Features at Chicago Auto Show

The Chicago Auto Show has been heating up in the windy city this winter. One of the most anticipated reveals comes from Chevrolet – unveiling some updates and revamps done to the 2016 Equinox. Seemingly, the changes are minor, amounting to a basic facelift for the most fuel efficient SUV on the road.

“In one of the industry’s most competitive segments, the Equinox continues to win customers with its value-driven balance of performance, versatility and personal connectivity,” GM North America President Alan Batey remarked in a recent statement.

So when you have a formula that works, you don’t mess with it, but you do modernize it! The 2016 Equinox sports a newer front fascia and wider and deeper chrome grill. Also new to the year are some premium LED fog lights, a more pronounced wheel well, and some luxurious interior tweaks. The mid-cycle changes though refreshing, amount to being rather minor since Chevy already has a total overhaul of the five seat SUV in the works, slated for a 2017 release. Even before the rollout, Chevy recently cut the Equinox’s base price to $22,995, which includes shipping.
