Chevrolet announced last month that country music star and reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan will be Chevy’s newest brand ambassador, replacing a long partnership the American brand had with Kid Rock.

Bryan expressed pride in being able to hold this position, saying that his entire family drives Chevys and that “If you were a Bryan, you drive a Chevy.” Chevrolet made the announcement at the Country Music Association Festival, where Bryan started his reign as Chevy’s brand ambassador.

Chevrolet will sponsor Bryan’s 8th annual Farm Tour, a concert series where Bryan goes around to rural cities and sets up a stage on farmland. A portion of ticket proceeds always go to the Luke Bryan Farm Tour Scholarship, which is awarded to a student from a farming family in the communities where he performs.

Chevy vice president of marketing Paul Edwards said that partnering with Bryan is “a natural fit,” citing Chevy customers’ love of country music and Bryan as an artist, as well as the frequent references to Chevy cars and trucks in country music.

Bryan has interacted with Chevy in the past, earlier this year helping Chevy reach a wider audience on social media with their #DayItForward campaign on Leap Day. How do you feel about this? Tell us at Hanner Chevrolet in Abilene, TX.
