Chevy Donates Proceeds from First Corvette Z06 to Karmanos Cancer Institute

Cancer Institute to Receive Proceeds from First Corvette Z06 AuctionHot on the heels of the highly-praised Stingray, we can expect Chevrolet’s newest Corvette Z06 to arrive early next year. But if you want to get a jump start on placing your order, you can bid on the first Corvette Z06 when it is auctioned off this April to benefit the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

The 2015 Corvette Z06 will be up for auction on April 12 at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Palm Beach. Online bidding is also available if you won’t be in sunny Florida for the event.

The proceeds from the sale of the first Corvette Z06 will provide for the renovation of the Institute’s infusion center, the area of the hospital dedicated to patients undergoing chemo treatments.

“Chevrolet’s donation of the first 2015 Corvette Z06 produced is yet another way that we are showing our continued support of the Karmanos Cancer Institute,” said Dan Ammann, GM president. “The funds raised from the auction will help further the exceptional patient care that Karmanos is known for in our community and across the country.”

Last year, GM helped raise $1 million by auctioning the first Corvette Stingray.
