Chevy Super Bowl Commercial Stuns Millions of Viewers

Shocking football fans worldwide, the latest Chevy commercial commanded the attention of nearly 100 million viewers. This ad highlighted the all-new Colorado, recently voted the Motor Trend Truck of the Year.

The spot, titled “Blackout,” appeared to disrupt the live game feed with static and a black screen.

Many viewers were stunned, thinking the Super Bowl went offline, according to Chevy. They were relieved to see the ad was just a joke to draw attention to the all-new Colorado.

“When you have a groundbreaking product like the Chevy Colorado, you must deliver groundbreaking advertising like we are today.” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing.

The Chevy Super Bowl commercial pointed out several of the new Colorado features that helped it win the Truck of the Year award, including the 4G LTE Wi-Fi. The ad was sure to point out that if viewers only had a Colorado, they could live stream the game, instead of watch a blank screen.

Test drive a brand new Colorado here at Hanner Chevrolet to check out the 4G LTE in action.
