The all-new 2019 Silverado 1500 has an engine for virtually any type of driver. The latest full-size pickup from Chevrolet will come with six engine options, as well as various transmissions and an available Dynamic Management system that lets you deactivate cylinders to save fuel. These are just some of the many cool features you’ll find on the Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

According to Chevrolet, the new Silverado 1500 engines come with matching trims to create distinct personalities to match those of Chevy drivers. The engine combinations vary from a 4.3-liter V6 engine with Active Fuel Management with a six-speed automatic transmission to a 2.7-liter turbocharged engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. There’s even a Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel with stop/start technology.

“A major focus of the next-generation Silverado is expanding the range of choices,” said Tim Asoklis, chief engineer for the Silverado 1500. “With all-new engines and a broader model range, there’s a Silverado for everyone, whether you’re buying your first pickup or your tenth.”

One of the newest features is a Dynamic Management system that allows drivers to deactivate cylinders when they’re not in use. There are 17 different modes of cylinder deactivation to choose from. Plus, the new Silverado is lighter and more aerodynamic than before to further increase fuel efficiency.
