Celebrate Pi Day with Some Pie

celebrate pi dayMarch 14th is a just a few days away and that means it is time to celebrate Pi Day. Just in case you don’t know, Pi is the irrational number that equals the circumference divided by the diameter of a circle. It is represented by the Greek letter π and in shortened form is written as 3.14—March 14th!

So, here is a short list of some fun you should have on this mathematical day.

  • Have a party. If you have the appropriate type job, get your coworkers together and plan a pie-sharing party. Everyone bring in their favorite pie and then just eat pie all day. If you can’t have a party at work, plan one with family and friends that evening.
  • Pack a Pi Day lunch. Make a quiche (egg and cheese pie) the day before and take a slice of that along with some pickles, pineapples, and pistachios (all start with pi).
  • Have Pie for Dinner. Make or order yourself a pizza pie with your favorite toppings for dinner. Or you can make a chicken pot pie.
  • Mix up your pie leftovers. While it seems there can never be too much pie, if you’re feeling a bit pie-ed out, take a leftover slice and put it along with some ice cream into your blender to create a pie milkshake.
