For the 2021 model year, the GMC Sierra 2500HD and GMC Sierra 3500HD have gained some exciting new updates. GMC knows that trailering is a priority for Sierra Heavy Duty drivers — that’s why the automaker added a wealth of helpful innovations to the latest model of this all-American workhorse. Here’s what’s new on the heavy-duty truck.

New technologies

The new Trailer Length Indicator takes the hassle out of changing lanes with a trailer in tow. It displays surrounding vehicles, along with a red overlay that’s twice the length of your trailer, so you can better judge when it’s safe to move over. Jack-Knife Alert monitors the position of your trailer in relation to your truck and warns you if the trailer comes too close to the rear of your vehicle.

Improved camera views

Cargo Bed Zoom View and Bed Hitch Guidance are new features for the Cargo Bed View. These handy features make gooseneck and fifth-wheel trailering easier. The newly enhanced Rear Trailer View now offers guidelines that will take the guesswork out of backing up. Plus, it now boasts the Trailer-Angle Indicator for easier maneuvering. The Rear Side View feature was also improved so that you can now use it when reversing.

If you need a truck that can handle the toughest jobs, choose the 2021 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty from Hanner Chevrolet GMC in Baird, Texas.
